Network and Wi-Fi Management

A Network That Stays Up and Keeps the Wrong Devices Apart.

Firewalls, switches and Wi-Fi set up properly, segmented so a guest phone never shares a network with your payment terminals, and watched so you hear about an outage from us.

For offices, shops and multi-location businesses where the network is how work gets done.

What Does Network Management Include?

Firewall configuration at the edge and on hosts, the switches and Wi-Fi access points behind it, and monitoring of all of it. Changes are made by people who know the layout, and the layout is written down, so the network does not depend on one person's memory.

Why Segment the Network?

Because not every device should be able to reach every other device. Card payment terminals, office computers, cameras, and guest Wi-Fi each belong on their own segment. If one is compromised, segmentation keeps it from becoming a path to the rest.

Can You Manage More Than One Location?

Yes. Multi-location businesses get the same configuration at every site, monitored from one place, so a problem at one location is visible before the manager calls. When a site needs hands, we go on-site in Northern Virginia.

Frequently Asked Questions

4 QUESTIONS
Do we have to replace our equipment?

Not always. We start with what you have, tell you what is safe to keep and what is not, and only recommend replacement where it matters.

Do you install cameras?

We network them: the segment, the access and the monitoring the cameras sit on. Ask us on the call about the devices themselves.

How does this relate to PCI DSS?

Keeping card payment systems on their own segment is a basic step in reducing the scope of systems that touch card data. Your payment processor sets your PCI DSS obligations; we run the network to support them.

Do you handle internet service or phone lines?

We work with your internet provider when a line is down. We do not sell internet service, phones or VoIP.
