Dental Practices
IT Support for the Front Desk, the Operatory and the Imaging Room.
A dental day runs on a schedule, and the schedule runs on computers. We support every workstation from the front desk to the chair, so a frozen screen does not push the next patient back. Capital Cyber, based in Leesburg, Virginia, provides Managed IT and Help Desk for dental practices and works on-site across Northern Virginia.
For single-doctor practices, multi-location DSOs and oral surgeons with no IT person on staff.

What Breaks in a Dental Office, and Who Fixes It?
The same few things, at the worst times: a chairside computer that will not open the chart, an imaging workstation that stops seeing the sensor, a front desk printer that holds up checkout, a practice management server that slows to a crawl at 8 a.m. Your team calls or opens a ticket, and the people who already know your systems fix it.
Support is unlimited and remote first, so most problems are fixed without anyone leaving the building. When a problem needs hands, we come on-site across Northern Virginia from our base in Leesburg, Virginia.
Do You Support Practice Management and Imaging Software?
Yes. Practice management software support is part of managed IT, along with the server or cloud connection it depends on and the workstations it runs on. Imaging is the same story: the capture workstations, the network path to where images are stored, and the backups behind them.
How Do You Keep Chairside Computers Patched Without Interrupting Patients?
By planning maintenance around the schedule. Approved updates and patches install automatically, and the timing is set so a workstation in an operatory is not restarting mid-procedure. Remote monitoring watches every workstation, laptop and server round the clock, so a failing disk or a stalled backup is found before the morning huddle.
Why Does Each Person at the Chair Need Their Own Login?
Because the HIPAA Security Rule lists unique user identification as a required implementation specification: a unique name or number for identifying and tracking each user (45 CFR 164.312(a)(2)(i)). A shared login on a chairside computer makes it impossible to say who opened which chart. We set up individual accounts, enforce password policy on every account and device, and replace default credentials, then make signing in fast enough that nobody is tempted to share.
How Is IT Support Priced for a Practice?
As a fixed monthly cost scoped to your practice, given on the call once we know how many chairs, locations and systems you run. A bad week is our cost, not a surprise invoice.

Frequently Asked Questions
4 QUESTIONSDo you support dental practice management software?
Yes. Practice management software support is part of managed IT for dental practices, along with the workstations, servers and network it runs on.

Yes. We support single-doctor practices, multi-location dental service organizations and oral surgeons. Support is remote first, with on-site work in Northern Virginia.
Will updates restart a computer in the middle of a procedure?
They should not. Maintenance windows are planned around the practice schedule, so chairside and imaging workstations update when no patient is in the chair.
