What About the Shared Front Desk Inbox?
Shared mailboxes are fine; shared passwords are not. Everyone gets an individual account with access to the shared mailbox, nobody works day to day from an administrator account, and when someone leaves, one account is turned off instead of a password changed for everyone.
How Do You Stop Payment and Payroll Fraud by Email?
Business email compromise works on clinics as well as anywhere: a spoofed email from a supplier with new bank details, or a staff member asking payroll to change a direct deposit. Anti-spoofing settings make your domain harder to forge, monitoring flags suspicious sign-ins and mailbox rules, and a written procedure to verify any payment or bank detail change closes the gap.
